Keep track of what you catch trout on during different times of the year. I have noticed that trout hit different colors from Spring to Summer. Each river and area will vary so it is important to try to remember what you did on a given river the same time of year in past seasons. My experience has shown in the areas that I fish that Trout like brighter colors in the spring than in the summer. I fish Pink a lot but I jump to black/green a lot faster in the summer.
