As you probably know P.A. trout opener was this Saturday. I started of using a trout magnet and managed probably around 10 before the bit slowed down. I then switched to a trout slayer which worked very well, ended up with about 9 or 10 more, but here is when the story gets interesting. My friend and I had wondered up to a nice sized hole were
Mulberry there was a decent sized palomino. We were crushing them on various trout magnets and trout slayers when I get a nice sized fish on my line. Apparently in the hole there was also a large rainbow trout that had fallen prey to my trout slayer. After a short fight, a broken reel, broken line and a net that wasn't big enough the fish escaped. 30 or so minutes of catching average sized fish we decided to go back to the car and get something to eat. After filling our stomach with food we went back to the same spot since it had been producing fish. First cast with a orange and chartreuse trout magnet I had the big rainbow on again, this time I was determined to get him in. The man that watched the fish deny the net earlier offered his bigger net to us. A short time later I had landed my biggest trout. It was around 23 inches and 5 pounds. Ended the day with 52 trout the majority of them being caught on trout magnets and trout slayers. Awesome product you guys make
