ROY HAWK
TENNESSEE
"just a guy who likes to fish"

Roy grew up as a kid fishing in Florida. After a stint away from the angling sports for something called a job and a career he is making up for lost time by fishing at every opportunity he gets. He has traveled widely in the U.S. and to Argentina in pursuit of his favorite piscatorial adversary, the trout. He is unique in his approach to the angling sports by successfully blending a mix between fly fishing and spin fishing for trout. Roy recently has expanded his fishing to include smallmouth bass, hybrids and stripers. One thing that Roy loves is that Trout Magnets can be fished successfully on either a fly rod or spinning outfit – using light line is the key. Roy has been active in the Little River Chapter of Trout Unlimited, which works closely with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to benefit Brook Trout restoration. Roy now calls East Tennessee home with more rivers and streams than he can fish in a lifetime…
